Our first state line we crossed was Arizona.
Then we crossed into Nevada...
...and back into Arizona.
While we were in Arizona we stayed with my aunt and uncle and their family for 2 nights.
Sammy. Dad had so much fun taking pictures of the boys. Me and Steph must be boring :(
Steph showing off her hockey skills. (Not that she really has any) :P
Me and Steph with the boys.
Then we continued our journey into New Mexico...
...Through Texas (it is the 2nd biggest state) we stayed there two nights in San Antonio.
Finally we reached our destination... Lousiana!
Pictures in front of the Mississippi River
Grandpa kicking a field goal. Sadly, it didn't go in.
Allstate was hosting a fan fest in New Orleans and we went and had a ton of fun and got lots of FREE stuff!!
The coolest thing would have to the be the kazoo contest. Utah fans vs. Alabama fans. Each side got the chance to play their school's fight song. I have to say we did better but the dude from the Allstate commercials called it a tie!! Utah totally won. But we got free way nice polos with the Allsate Sugar Bowl on them.
Our picture with the Sugar Bowl Champion Trophy!!
While we were at the fan fest all of the sudden the Utah football team showed up and since we didn't get to go to the fan fest during the summer because we were in Disneyland, we had to get our picture with out favorite players. #11 Paul Kruger. He is amazing. His grandma and Grandma Aldridge and Grandpa Hardy went to school with her at Granite High. His grandma and my grandma still keep in touch so he's the special one to us.
#35 Louis Sakoda or King Louis. He is everyone's favorite kicker. Who would have thought the kicker would be the most famous player on the team?
The following day we went to the D-Day Museum. Steph thought it was horrible. It felt like school according to her.
Later that day we went on a steamboat down the Mississippi River.
That night there was a pep rally at the Marriot which was pretty awesome. There were thousands of fans there.
The morning of the Sugar Bowl we went on a Katrina Tour and saw the 9th Ward and other places that were hit hard during Katrina.
We just had to get our picture taken with the way cute Gingerbread man as we were trying to kill time while we were waiting for 5 so we could get into the game.
Me and Steph in front of the Super Dome. A funny thing that happened was that these Alabama fans wanted a picture with some Utah fans in front of the stadium and we got one with them. They probably deleted it after the game :)
We had amazing seats for the game. We were on the second row on the second level which wasn't really that high up. So cool!!
The coin toss
Kick off
End of the 1st quarter
End of 2nd quarter
End of the 3rd quarter
Final score!
We knew we were going to win all along. No doubt in mind!
I wish they would have let us run onto the field so it was just the team and cheerleaders.
Even though New Orleans was way far away... Over 11,000 Utah fans showed up to witness the best bowl game of the year.
Celebration time!! Undefeated, BCS Busters x2, Mountain West Conference Champions, and we beat Alabama in the Sugar Bowl.
Trophy presentation
We finished #2 in the nation. Which is retarded as Stephanie say. In the hearts of all Utah fans they are #1!!
The day after the bowl game we started our trip back home. We crossed back across the nothingness of Texas.
Early the last morning, We crossed into New Mexico.
Our last stop was four corners and finally we were back in Utah! It made all those hours in the car worth while.
